* What's a blob word? Think of the sports announcer who endlessly blathers, "What a great, great play," or "His athleticism is just unbelievable, just phenomenal." Blob words are fat, meaningless slackers that take up space on the page and in the mind and make the eyes glaze over. They rot the brain and waste time and after awhile, no one pays them any attention.
